Cincy OMEA 2005
Feb. 8th, 2005 10:50 pmWednesday:
Judy and chuck picked me up. I thought judy was going to have a conniption before we even got to the store. I didn’t see anything wrong with chuck’s driving, but she did. It was pretty uneventful drive. Jennifer ignored everyone so that was ok. We went to pf changs and had a really good meal. Jennifer offered her dish to everyone but me. *shakes head* it’s sad people can be so infantile.
Thursday:
Finished setting up. After being late for like the third time, I decided that I wasn’t waiting on Judy anymore. I missed lunch because of it. I went and ate something from the concession stand though. I got a little miffed because Jennifer called me a slob. It was a combo of her being an ass, and my blood sugar being low. The rest of the afternoon passed uneventfully, and pretty quickly. We went to a place called the Montgomery Inn. It’s a ribs place. I got to meet Jim Swearingen. He’s really nice. AS an aside- we were using Eric’s Suburban. It REEKED!!!! I am not sure what the smell was exactly, but it almost took your breath away. I was embarrassed for our guests to get into it.
Friday:
Reasonably uneventful. Sold stuff. I almost got mobbed passing out packets for the Gallina session. We went to a place called Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse for dinner. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten In a more expensive place. I’m glad I didn’t have to pay. I had a really good sirloin.
Saturday:
The printers went haywire, and we had some rough moments. Jennifer came over at one point and asked Dan if we needed her help- he said, no, I think we have it under control. She said, well, I don’t trust everybody working back here-(while she glared at me) I said “Dan said we had it under control” she got all huffy- “I was talking to Dan” to which I replied, “Yes and he said we had it under control.” Jennifer completely ignored everybody after that. She gets so pissed because everybody isn’t siding with her about me. After having to wait forever to load our stuff, we finally got moving. We stopped at Cracker Barrel for supper. It was also very tasty. WE bought an air freshener for Eric’s car. We made it back about 7:30. We unloaded. Karen brought Griffin and Gwennie with her to pick up Jennifer. Heh- Jennifer got all pissy again because when they saw me, they both ran for me, and were jumping up on me. I miss those dogs. I personally think animals are a much better judge of character than people.
Well, that was Cincy 2005. Over all convention was good. I am going to talk to Eric/Jim and tell them that because of Jennifer’s unprofessional behavior, I don’t think it’s a good idea if we go the same places anymore. I had a couple other people comment about her actions to me while we were gone. It probably means I won’t get to go as much, but it will be better. *sigh* it sucks being the mature, responsible adult in a situation.
