weekend update
Apr. 24th, 2006 03:27 pmwell- let's see.
Saturday, I came home and did the laundry.
Sunday- Went to church. While there I made plans with Dave and Phil to stop over after the racial unity service. After church I came home and made a gardenbruger and french fries. Then I cleaned my apartment. It needed it. I even changed the sheets. The only thing left to do for spring is get the fans out and clean them. I think I'll do that next week.
Went to the racial unity service. It was nice, but a bit long. I didn't get out of there until almost 9pm! I called Dave to make sure he still wanted company. He said they did so I went over there. Jumbo got into a fight with a possum on Snday morning(the possum won). He isn't too scratched up, but still.. poor baby. Dave & Phil shared with me a plan that they might buy a house that has "guest quarters" with a separate entrance and everything. Guess who they are thinking of asking to move in with them?!? It's all very speculative right now, but still. I love those guys! Watched Family Guy and American Dad. I had a rum and coke that really worked on me. I'm not sure why. I left something after 10pm.
After I got home, I couldn't sleep. The events of the day kept wandering through my brain. I finally settled down about 1am- after watching who won the food network next star thing. (Go Guy!) I woke up at 6am and had a really hard time falling back to sleep. I finally dozed off about 7:30 and slept until 10am.
Today (it annoys me that when I capitalize words that the letter "o" is the 2nd letter, I often capitalize the "o" as well. grrrr)
I putzed around then went grocery shopping. Since the groceries were only 16 bucks (which included the stuff to make these things called gnudi that will be supper tonight-YUM!!!!) I treated myself to Panera. This leaves 60 bucks in the bank until Friday. Since I don't have to buy anything else, I'm ok. I also watched Jennifer's handbell tape. Holy Cow it's no wonder her back hurts! That 7th octave of bells is huge!
Other things I don't think I've mentioned.
Jennifer called me at work from California on Thursday to tell me she was standing in the Pacific Ocean.
Richard is giving me his old Weber tabletop charcoal grill.
I had a strange dream about Phil where he and I were hosting a dinner party for people I don't recognize from my waking life in a house I don't think I've ever seen before. (prophetic to me moving in with them?)
I checked over my lease last night. It looks as though I'll forfeit my deposit if I move out before the lease is up, but I can find no other repercussions. I assume they would try to charge me the rest of my lease amount unless I found someone to move in. I'm mad at myself because I knew I shouldn't sign that lease, but I let brain get in the way.
I'm trying to figure out how much I should give to the Notes and Nails campaign at church. What exactly does "sacrificial giving" mean to me?
I want to plant some stuff, but I can't afford anything to plant. *sniff*
