It was a whirlwind of a weekend.

Friday:
Worked until 3:30pm and headed to Cleveland. I found the hotel and stuff pretty quickly. It took me a while to get parked and get my stuff in and everything. I met up with some of the other guys and we headed to the "meet and greet" at Hard Rock Cafe. I had a veggie burger. I have never seen the appeal of the Hard Rock. It was ok, but nothing special. After we went back to their hotel and had a drink then I went to my hotel and to bed. I had to call the front desk because the people in the room next to me were Having a "domestic dispute"- I'd hear "NO, baby, NO" then *bang, bang, bang* then a male say "See what you did mother f*cker" and then more female screams. Not cool. They sent up securtiy and it settled down.

Saturday:
Got to the rehearsal site at 7:20am. Had a bagel and some cream cheese. We started rehearsing about 8:30am. The music was hard! The people I was next too were really nice. For the most part everyone was nice. We broke for lunch and found out the place we wanted to go to lunch to was closed. THe guy in charge asked us what we were in the mood for, and one of the guys in our group said, "Oh, I don't care, I just need a drink." I thought the guy i ncharge would blow a gasket, "WHAT!?! There will be no drinking at lunch! If I smell alcohol on anyone they are not playing the concert!!" And bless his heart, the guy with us said "Well, gee, in our band they only care if you can stand up." LOL ROTFLMAO.
SO we ended up at McDonalds so I had some fries. We got back and rehearsed until 5pm. I headed back to the hotel, and couldn't find anywhere to eat so I had peanuts and cookies from the vending machine. I showered at got dressed and headed back.
The concert went ok. It could have been a lot better if hadn't played all day. Everyone was mentally and physically exhausted. We finished up, and headed back to the hotel to freshen up before going out. I got back to the hotel and I just couldn't do it. I put my jammies on and laid on the bed. I was disappointed, but I just couldn't make myself go out in the cold again.

Sunday:
I got up pretty early to hear the good news that it hadn't gotten as cold as they thought it would so it was only raining. They had gotten some freezing rain overnight so sidewalks and such were slick. I left the hotel about 8:15am or so. I realized I kept the "keys" by mistake. They didn't ask for them though so I'm assuming I'm ok. I had a mishap trying to cross the street to the parking garage. I got across ok, but when I tried to cross the little pile of snow on the curb I did the ice dancew and fell to my hands and knees. I got myself pickedup, and made it to the car. I started out, and looked down and I had blood all over one hand. I had ripped a nice piece of skin off on my left middle finger. I had to wait until I made it to Bob Evans to eat to clean it up. I ate breakfast (with Carl who happened to show up at the same place as me) and I made it back to Columbus at 11:45am. I rested up a bit and headed to practice.
Practice went well. I'm excited about the concert. Even jazz band sounded ok. *whew*
Afterward we went out to Union. That was a lot of fun!! I love those guys. We talked about a lot of stuff too which is fun, and I found out things I didn't ever think I'd know. I am sworn to secrecy though. heheheh

Today was grocery shopping, excellent pasta (asparagus, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, artichokes in a broth based sauce with penne- YUMMY!!!), and a few band things. I'm thinking of foregoing the ironing in leu of some more score study. I'm so nervous. This evening I'm meeting Dave B to give him his ticket and have a little dinner. This week will be a whirlwind of activity!!

Oh, I was 228.5 this morning. My goal is to not go above that now.
OK, I had just had the most awesome dinner!
I met Dave B and we went to Red Robin. I did not know this, but Red Robin will replace any of their beef burgers with a Boca Patty or a Gardenburger patty! I got to enjoy the Bleu Ribbon Burger in all its glory with a huge Boca Patty. It was fantastic! Probably not the best for eating healthily, but not that bad either. I love it when I have good food!
