longish- it's been a while
May. 11th, 2007 08:55 pmI haven't written much lately- I should remedy that.
I talked to Dave D for 35 minutes this evening. I don't think we've stayed on the phone for that long before. That was nice. He was ironing and drinking. LOL. It's funny how life has a way of happening. I remember thinking "what will I do?" when the Jasons moved away, and I found him. It's also amazing how the heart just becomes bigger- there is room for all of them in there. He is excited about me moving to OTE. That makes me happy. I am looking forward to it. I'll only be a mile from Dave and Phil, a mile from the park, and i figured out not nearly as far from a Mobil gas station and Kroger as I thought. yay.
The guy (my new landlord) said I can start moving probably the middle of next week. I need to get packing- there is a bunch of stuff to go through. My goal is to get rid of anything I haven't used in the 2.5 years I've been here in this place. Maybe I'll post it to freecycle. I'm bored right now so I'm going to draw a layout of the new livingroom and stuff. hehehe. I told Dave I'll have to map out my walk route- he said maybe he and I could go walking together. That would be fun! one of the new pieces of routine I want to add is meditation. I really think that will be good for me.
Work is going ok. I am really hoping that Eric will eventually name me department head. I am trying to show that I can do all the work. I can't wait to get used to the new place so I'll be able to concentrate on work again.
Board meeting on tap for tomorrow. Should be pretty good. I have to clean at work. I don't like cleaning my apartment- much less my workplace. boohiss.
I get my car back tomorrow as well!!!- Jerk offs tried to jerk me around with it, telling me something was prior wrong with the bumper, but I told him to shove it. Bastard.
I think I might go get my new phone this weekend as well. I'm excited about that. I looked up the Prius (a car, not a phone) online just for fun- holy crap waaay too expensive for me!!!
I hope Jennifer is ok. She called work to say say she was really sick, and she wasn't sure she'd make it in to work tomorrow. She sounded terrible.
