About how people and pets begin to look the same. It sounds as though Melvin and I need to diet better.

I took Melvin to the vet to pick up his flea medicine because i wasn't sure how much he weighed.
27.5 pounds! Poor little guy. I had cut back on his food some a couple of months ago, and I thought he was doing better. The vet tech said to cut back to 3/4 cup a day (split into morning and evening). I feel like a bad doggy momma. I honestly didn't realize he was that large.
It does make me wonder if the vet was correct when he said he was 21 pounds when I got him- that kind of weight gain is really harmful...
